What it means for buyers
Prices are lower than a year ago, and homes are taking a little longer to sell. That gives buyers more time to decide and more room to negotiate on price and conditions, like a home inspection. Getting pre-approved now puts you in the best position.
What it means for sellers
Fewer homes are selling, so pricing right from day one matters more than ever. Homes that are well presented and priced to the current market still sell — overpriced homes sit. A local agent's evaluation is worth more than any online estimate right now.
